Underarm hair is coarse and densely packed in a small area. That combination responds well to laser, because coarse dark hair carries more melanin and melanin is exactly what the laser targets.
We treat the area on 808 nm, which our protocol lists among the areas best suited to that wavelength, with 940 nm available where follicles sit deeper. The area is small enough that the pass itself takes only minutes.
Underarm skin is thin and folds, so the handpiece is worked carefully with continuous cooling. Deodorant is removed before treatment and your technician advises when to resume it.

How a course of underarms sessions works
Every course starts with a consultation and patch test. You shave the area a day or two beforehand, the cooled handpiece makes its pass, and sessions repeat four to six weeks apart because only follicles in their active growth phase respond to any one session. Most people complete six to ten.

How long does an underarm session take?
It is one of the smallest areas we treat, so the pass itself is short. Most of the appointment is preparation and aftercare guidance.
Can I use deodorant afterwards?
Deodorant is removed before treatment. Your technician tells you when it is appropriate to resume, along with the rest of your aftercare.
Does it help with shaving irritation?
Many clients come to laser because repeated shaving irritates the area. As hair reduces over a course, the shaving that causes that irritation reduces with it.
How many sessions are needed?
Underarms are treated as a course, spaced so each session catches follicles in their growth phase. Your technician gives you a realistic number after assessing hair density.
