That makes it a good match for 808 nm, the wavelength our protocol describes as the primary one for hair removal. It balances penetration depth against melanin absorption and treats large areas quickly, which keeps a full-arm appointment efficient.
Because the arms are one of the most sun-exposed areas of the body, your technician checks for recent tanning before treating. Tanned skin shifts which wavelength is appropriate, and the FEMME 4D can lean on 1064 nm where more melanin is present in the epidermis.

How a course of arms sessions works
Every course starts with a consultation and patch test. You shave the area a day or two beforehand, the cooled handpiece makes its pass, and sessions repeat four to six weeks apart because only follicles in their active growth phase respond to any one session. Most people complete six to ten.

Can I treat just the forearms?
Yes. Half arm and full arm are treated as separate areas, so you can book only the section you want.
How many sessions do arms need?
Hair grows in cycles and only actively growing follicles respond, so arms are treated as a course spaced out over months. Your technician gives you the plan at consultation.
Can I be treated with a tan?
Recent tanning is assessed first. A tan increases melanin in the skin itself, which changes which wavelength is safe. We may adjust the setting or ask you to wait.
Will the hair grow back thicker?
No. Laser energy damages the follicle, so regrowth over a course tends to be thinner, softer and lighter rather than thicker.
