Why clients choose Femme for stretch marks
Body depth, not face depth
Stretch marks are treated at 1.5 to 2.5 mm, the deepest range in our protocol, because body skin is considerably thicker than facial skin.
Larger areas handled properly
Abdomen, thighs and hips are mapped and worked in sections so coverage stays even across a large treatment area.
An honest assessment first
Newer red marks respond better than older white ones. You get a straight answer about likely results before booking a course.
Your stretch marks protocol
Every stretch marks appointment at our clinics follows the same six-step protocol, worked at 1.5 to 2.5 mm, the depth range our protocol sets for this concern. Your technician talks you through each stage.
Assessment and mapping
We look at whether the marks are newer and pink or older and white, check for contraindications, and map the treatment area.
Cleanse and degrease
The area is cleansed and degreased so the cartridge moves cleanly across body skin.
Medical-grade disinfection
The full treatment area is disinfected with medical-grade antiseptic.
Topical numbing
Numbing cream is applied across the area and given time to absorb, then removed completely. At body depths this step is standard.
Deep multi-pass needling
Sterile single-use cartridges at 1.5 to 2.5 mm, in vertical, horizontal and diagonal passes, worked section by section for even coverage.
Serum and aftercare
A professional serum may be applied where appropriate, followed by an aftercare plan for the treated area.
Questions we hear
Do old white stretch marks respond?
Less predictably than newer pink or red ones. Mature white marks have lost pigment and blood supply, so improvement tends to be in texture rather than colour. We give you a realistic expectation at consultation.
How many sessions are needed?
Stretch marks are treated as a course spaced several weeks apart, since collagen needs time to rebuild between sessions. The number depends on the area size and how mature the marks are.
Can I have this after pregnancy?
Yes, once you are no longer pregnant and your practitioner has reviewed your medical history. Microneedling is not performed during pregnancy without physician consultation.
Does treatment on the body hurt more?
Body work is done at a deeper setting, which is why numbing cream is standard rather than optional for this treatment. Comfort is checked throughout and depth is adjusted.
What is the recovery like?
Expect redness across the treated area that settles over a day or two, with the skin feeling warm and tight initially. Larger areas are best planned around your week.
