Our St. Catharines clinic at 350 Scott St, Unit 211A is on Scott Street near Fairview Mall, about 15 minutes from Niagara Falls via the QEW. The same rooms that run our laser hair removal service host Microneedling appointments, so your whole skin plan lives in one place.
Microneedling, also called collagen induction therapy, uses fine needles to create thousands of controlled micro-channels in the skin. Your body responds by producing fresh collagen and elastin, which is exactly what softens acne scars, fine lines, stretch marks and enlarged pores. We perform every treatment with the Dr. Pen A20, a Health Canada approved motorized pen whose needle depth is adjusted area by area, from delicate under-eye skin to tougher scar tissue.
Most St. Catharines clients plan a course of 3 to 6 sessions spaced 4 to 6 weeks apart. A numbing cream goes on before treatment, the session itself takes 20 to 30 minutes, and the redness that follows usually settles within a day or two.
Why St. Catharines books microneedling with Femme
A device we name
Every session runs on the Health Canada approved Dr. Pen A20 with sterile, single-use needle cartridges.
Real texture change
Micro-channels trigger your own collagen, the mechanism behind lasting improvement in acne scars and stretch marks.
Gentle recovery
Expect redness like a mild sunburn for 24 to 48 hours. Most clients wear makeup again the next day.
Your microneedling protocol in St. Catharines
Every microneedling appointment at our St. Catharines clinic follows the same careful, six-step protocol, whether it is your first visit or your fifth. Your technician talks you through each stage.
Consultation and skin history
We review your skin history, medications and goals, check for active breakouts or cold sores, and confirm microneedling is right for you today.
Cleanse and numb
The area is double-cleansed and a topical numbing cream is applied for about 30 minutes so the treatment stays comfortable.
Prep and glide serum
A sterile hyaluronic-acid glide serum is applied so the pen moves smoothly and hydration is driven into the fresh channels.
The microneedling pass
Using the Health Canada approved Dr. Pen A20 with a sterile single-use cartridge, your technician works zone by zone, adjusting needle depth from 0.25 mm on delicate skin to deeper settings on scarring.
Soothe and protect
A calming, growth-factor serum and a mineral SPF go on immediately to settle redness and shield the skin as it begins to repair.
Recovery and your next visit
Expect a warm, sunburn-like flush for 24 to 48 hours. We schedule your next session 4 to 6 weeks out so collagen can build between visits.

Microneedling questions we hear in St. Catharines
Does microneedling hurt?
With numbing cream applied first, most clients feel pressure and vibration rather than pain. Sensitive areas are treated at shallower depths.
How many sessions do acne scars need?
Most clients see visible softening from the second or third session, with a full course of 3 to 6 sessions for deeper scarring.
What is the downtime?
Redness like a mild sunburn for 24 to 48 hours, occasionally light flaking. Most people return to normal routines the next day with SPF.
Is microneedling safe for all skin tones?
Yes. Because it works mechanically rather than with light or heat, microneedling is safe for every skin tone, including deeper tones, when needle depth is set correctly.
How is this different from an at-home derma-roller?
Our Dr. Pen A20 is a Health Canada approved motorized pen with sterile single-use cartridges and adjustable depth. Home rollers are shallow, hard to sterilise and cannot reach the depth needed to remodel scars.
When will I see results?
Skin looks fresher within a week as surface turnover completes; collagen remodelling continues for weeks, with the fullest results after a course of 3 to 6 sessions.
What should I avoid before and after?
Skip retinoids and exfoliating acids for a few days on either side, avoid direct sun, and keep skin clean and moisturised. No makeup for 24 hours after.
Can I add PRP to my microneedling?
Yes. Microneedling with PRP uses your own platelet-rich plasma as the glide serum for an added regenerative boost. Ask us about combining them.
Do you serve Niagara Falls clients?
Constantly. We are about 15 minutes from Niagara Falls via the QEW, with free parking at the Scott Street plaza even in tourist season.
Is there parking at the clinic?
Yes, free plaza parking at 350 Scott Street. We are upstairs in Unit 211A, near the Fairview Mall end of Scott Street.
Can I book microneedling and laser hair removal at the St. Catharines clinic?
Yes. Our St. Catharines clinic runs microneedling and laser hair removal in the same rooms, so you can plan both treatments on one visit or on a schedule that suits you.
