Your skin is assessed on the Fitzpatrick scale first, and this matters more than it sounds. Deeper skin tones carry more melanin, so an aggressive peel risks post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation — the mark left behind can outlast the problem being treated. We would rather start conservatively and build than clear something once and leave a pigment change.
