Depth changes across the face
Forehead, eye area, cheeks and chin each have their own depth range in our protocol, rather than one setting used everywhere.
Care around the eyes
The eye area is treated at 0.25 to 0.5 mm, the shallowest setting we use, because that skin is the thinnest on the face.
Your own collagen
Nothing synthetic is injected. The treatment prompts your skin to produce collagen and elastin, so the change appears gradually.
Your face wrinkles protocol
Every face wrinkles appointment at our clinics follows the same six-step protocol, worked at 0.25 to 1.0 mm, the depth range our protocol sets for this concern. Your technician talks you through each stage.
Skin analysis
We assess skin type on the Fitzpatrick scale, review your medical history and map which areas of the face need which depth.
Cleanse and degrease
Makeup is removed and the skin is cleansed thoroughly before treatment begins.
Medical-grade disinfection
The treatment area is disinfected with medical-grade antiseptic.
Topical numbing if required
Numbing cream is applied where needed, allowed to absorb, then removed completely before the pass begins.
Area-by-area needling
Sterile single-use cartridges, with depth stepped down around the eyes and up across the cheeks, in vertical, horizontal and diagonal passes.
Serum and aftercare
A professional serum may be applied where appropriate, followed by sun protection guidance while new collagen matures.

How many sessions will I need?
Fine lines usually improve over a short course rather than a single visit, with sessions spaced to let collagen mature in between. Your practitioner sets the number after assessing your skin.
Is microneedling safe around the eyes?
The eye area is treated at 0.25 to 0.5 mm, the shallowest depth in our protocol, by a practitioner trained on the device. It is not treated at the same depth as the cheeks.
When will I see a difference?
Collagen takes weeks to build, so the change is gradual rather than immediate. Skin often looks brighter within days, while firmness develops over the following weeks.
What should I avoid beforehand?
Stop retinol, retinoids, AHA and BHA exfoliants, glycolic and salicylic acid, chemical peels, waxing and threading 5 to 7 days before. Avoid alcohol and heavy makeup in the 24 hours before your appointment.
Is there downtime?
Expect mild redness for about a day, sometimes with light flaking as the surface turns over. Facial depths sit at the gentler end of the protocol range.
