PRP and PRF at Femme Laser Clinic
PRP stands for platelet-rich plasma and PRF for platelet-rich fibrin. Both start the same way: a small draw of your own blood, spun in a centrifuge to separate the fraction that carries the platelets and growth factors. That fraction is then applied to the skin, usually alongside microneedling so it reaches past the surface, or injected where the concern is thinning hair.
The practical difference is speed of release. PRP is prepared with an anticoagulant and acts faster; PRF is spun more slowly without one, forms a fibrin scaffold, and releases its growth factors over a longer period. Your technician will explain which suits what you are treating rather than presenting one as superior.
