How Much Does Laser Hair Removal Cost in Canada? A 2026 Survey of 80 Clinics
Search for the cost of laser hair removal and most of what comes back is a range so wide it is useless, often written by a clinic that does not publish its own prices. So we did what a shopper would do, at scale. On 10 October 2026 we searched Google for laser hair removal in 12 Canadian markets, opened the website of every clinic on the first page, and wrote down what each one actually charges.
That came to 80 clinics. Here is what laser hair removal costs in Canada right now, what a full course adds up to, how much prices swing from city to city, and why most clinics would rather not tell you.
The short answer: a single laser hair removal session in Canada costs a median of $88 for underarms, $130 for a Brazilian, $72 for the upper lip, $260 for full legs and $370 for full body, based on the clinics that publish their prices. Most people need six to ten sessions, so a full course runs roughly $525 to $875 for underarms and $2,220 to $3,700 for full body at those prices, before any package discount.

How many of the 80 clinics tell you their price?
- Full price list by area: 25 (31%)
- Partial (a “from” price, promotion or package only): 6 (8%)
- No laser price at all: 49 (61%)
Laser hair removal cost per session, by area
The size of the area is the biggest single driver of price. A full-legs session costs about three times as much as an underarm session at the median, because it takes far longer and uses far more pulses. The chart shows where the middle half of clinics sit for each area, with the median marked.
Price per session: middle half of clinics, with the median
| Area | Median per session | Middle half of clinics | Cheapest to most expensive | Clinics with a price |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Upper lip | $72 | $43–$85 | $15–$100 | 20 |
| Underarms | $88 | $63–$117 | $40–$159 | 24 |
| Brazilian | $130 | $100–$244 | $40–$300 | 23 |
| Full legs | $260 | $200–$398 | $50–$700 | 24 |
| Full body | $370 | $299–$499 | $99–$630 | 11 |
Two things stand out. First, the ranges are enormous. The most expensive Brazilian in the survey costs seven and a half times the cheapest, and the most expensive full-legs session fourteen times. Second, the Brazilian has the widest middle band of any area: a quarter of clinics charge $100 or less and another quarter charge $244 or more. If you have only one quote for a Brazilian, you have very little idea where it sits.
For a closer look at individual areas, we have broken down the cost of underarm, bikini line, full legs, facial, back, neck, stomach and ear laser hair removal separately.
What a full course costs
Nobody buys one session. Laser only affects hairs that are in their active growth phase at the time of treatment, so it takes a series of sessions, spaced four to six weeks apart, to catch every follicle. Most people need six to ten sessions, with coarse or dense hair and facial hair toward the upper end. Here is what that adds up to at the median price, before any package discount.
| Area | 6 sessions | 8 sessions | 10 sessions |
|---|---|---|---|
| Upper lip | $432 | $576 | $720 |
| Underarms | $525 | $700 | $875 |
| Brazilian | $780 | $1,040 | $1,300 |
| Full legs | $1,560 | $2,080 | $2,600 |
| Full body | $2,220 | $2,960 | $3,700 |
Median single-session price multiplied by the number of sessions. Packages usually lower the per-session price, so treat these as the full-price ceiling for a typical clinic.
Is laser hair removal $3,000?
It is one of the most common questions people type into Google, and our numbers say it depends entirely on the area. Eight full-body sessions at the median come to about $2,960, and ten to $3,700, so for full body, $3,000 is a fair estimate. For a single small area it is wildly high: six underarm sessions at the median cost about $525, and six upper-lip sessions about $432. Most people treat two or three areas, which usually lands somewhere between those two extremes.

Laser hair removal prices by city
Prices are not the same across the country, and neither is the willingness to publish them. The table shows, for each market, how many clinics appeared on Google’s first page, how many publish a full price list, and the range of published prices for the two most commonly listed areas.
| Market | On page one | Price list | Underarms | Brazilian |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Toronto | 7 | 3 | $75–$159 | $110–$299 |
| Vancouver | 7 | 3 | $50–$90 | $75–$160 |
| Ottawa | 8 | 3 | $100–$125 | $260–$300 |
| Windsor | 10 | 2 | $130–$150 | – |
| Brampton | 7 | 2 | $40–$60 | $40–$100 |
| Vaughan | 7 | 2 | – | – |
| Durham (Whitby, Oshawa) | 3 | 0 | – | – |
| Burlington | 5 | 0 | – | – |
| Hamilton | 6 | 1 | – | – |
| Kitchener-Waterloo | 6 | 4 | $60–$149 | $90–$199 |
| London | 9 | 4 | $45–$120 | $85–$200 |
| St. Catharines | 5 | 1 | – | – |
A dash means fewer than two clinics in that market published the price, which is too few to give a range. These are small samples, so read them as a guide to each market rather than a precise average.
Ottawa is the outlier at the top. All three of its first-page clinics that publish prices charge $260 to $300 for a Brazilian, roughly double the national median, and its full-legs prices, at $500 to $700, were the highest of any market. At the other end, Brampton and Vancouver had the lowest published underarm prices. Ontario as a whole runs slightly above the national figures: across the 73 Ontario clinics, the median was $90 for underarms, $165 for a Brazilian and $275 for full legs.
Transparency varies just as much. In Kitchener-Waterloo and London, close to half or more of the first-page clinics publish a full list. In Durham and Burlington, not one of the eight does, and in Windsor only two of ten.
Why most clinics don’t publish their prices
Forty-nine of the 80 clinics showed no laser hair removal price anywhere we could find: not on the homepage, not on the service pages, and not on any page in their sitemap with “price”, “cost”, “rates” or “packages” in the address. Another six gave only a “from” price, a promotional bundle or a package, which tells you very little about what one area actually costs.
Some of the reasons are fair. The price genuinely depends on the size of the area and on your hair, and a clinic may want to assess your skin before quoting. Others are commercial. A consultation is a chance to sell a package, promotions change every few weeks, and membership pricing is hard to fit on a single page. Whatever the reason, the effect is the same: you cannot compare clinics without picking up the phone.
The most telling detail was three clinics that had written a full article on how much laser hair removal costs, quoting broad industry ranges, without once stating their own price.
What changes the price
- The area. By far the biggest factor. At the median, a full-legs session costs three times an underarm session and a full-body session more than four times.
- The city. Ottawa’s published prices sat well above the national median, while Vancouver’s and Brampton’s sat below it.
- How the clinic defines an area. “Face” might mean the upper lip, chin and cheeks together, or each of them billed separately. “Full legs” may or may not include the feet and toes, and a “bikini” can mean a bikini line or a full Brazilian. Two prices can look different simply because they cover different skin.
- Single sessions, packages and memberships. Many clinics publish a regular price and a lower member or package price. We used the regular price throughout, so a package will usually beat the figures in this article.
- Promotions. Several clinics were running a sale on the day we checked, one of them at 30% off. A sale price is real money saved, but compare it with the clinic’s regular price, not with another clinic’s sale.
How to compare laser clinics on price
A low headline price is only useful if it is the same thing you would be buying elsewhere. Before you commit, ask each clinic for:
- The regular single-session price for each area you want, in writing, before any package or promotion.
- Exactly what each area includes, so you are comparing the same skin.
- The per-session price of any package. Divide the package total by the number of sessions. Then ask whether unused sessions expire, and whether they can be refunded or transferred.
- Any consultation or patch-test fee, and whether it comes off your first treatment.
- The price of a touch-up session after the course ends, since most people book an occasional maintenance session.
- Whether a membership commits you to a monthly payment, and how you cancel it.
- Which laser they use, and whether it suits your skin tone. This matters more for safety than for price. Our guide to diode, alexandrite, Nd:YAG and IPL explains the difference.
If you are weighing a home device against a clinic course, we ran the five-year numbers in does at-home laser hair removal work?, and the device wins on cost for some areas.
Where our own prices sit
Read this section with our interest in mind. Femme Laser Clinic is a laser clinic, and this survey is published on our website. We left our own prices out of every median, range and chart above. Our full laser price list is public, so you can check every figure below.
In each of the four areas we can compare directly, our regular single-session price is below the survey median:
| Area | Femme, one session | Survey median | Femme, 6 sessions |
|---|---|---|---|
| Underarms | $50 | $88 | $250 |
| Brazilian | $80 | $130 | $400 |
| Full legs | $95 | $260 | $475 |
| Full body | $299 | $370 | $1,495 |
| Face (upper lip, chin and cheeks) | $75 | $72 (upper lip only) | $375 |
Price is only one part of the decision. Every course at our clinics starts with a skin assessment and a patch test, and we treat women only, at 13 clinics in Ontario and Vancouver. You can read how a course works in our laser hair removal guide.

See our price listBook an appointmentHow we did the survey
- On 10 October 2026 we searched Google for “laser hair removal” with the city name, as searched from each of 12 markets: Toronto, Vancouver, Ottawa, Windsor, Brampton, Vaughan, Durham (Whitby and Oshawa), Burlington, Hamilton, Kitchener-Waterloo, London and St. Catharines.
- Every clinic on the first page, in both the map results and the organic results, went into the sample: 82 clinics. Two websites would not load, which left 80.
- For each clinic we read its own website: the homepage, its laser and price pages, and any page in its sitemap with price, pricing, cost, rates or packages in the address. Every price we recorded was checked by hand against the clinic’s own page.
- We recorded the regular single-session price for women for five areas: underarms, Brazilian, upper lip, full legs and full body. Sale, membership and package prices were excluded. Where a clinic listed only a “starting at” price for each area, we used it.
- Clinics that gave only a single “from” price, promotional bundles or packages were counted as partial and left out of the price figures.
- The “middle half” is the 25th to 75th percentile. Figures are rounded to the nearest dollar and are in Canadian dollars as each clinic lists them, so check whether a quote includes HST.
- Femme Laser Clinic’s prices are excluded from every figure except the comparison table in the section above.
- This is not a random sample. It is the set of clinics a person actually sees on Google’s first page, which is the realistic shopping list. Smaller markets have few data points.
- We report the market, not individual clinics, so no clinic is named. If you run a clinic in the survey and believe we have misread your price, let us know and we will check it and correct it.
